Ottawa LX Limo

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ottawa LX Limo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information collected through ottawalxlimo.com, online quote and contact forms, transportation inquiries and reservations, and related email, telephone, and text-message communications.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you request a quote, contact us, arrange transportation, or communicate with us, we collect the details you choose to provide. These may include your name, email address, telephone number, pickup and drop-off locations, travel dates and times, stops, flight details, passenger and luggage counts, vehicle preferences, agency or company information, and the contents of your messages.

Communication and consent records. We may retain correspondence, reservation-related communications, communication preferences, and records showing when and how you gave or withdrew consent to receive messages.

Technical information. Our website and its service providers may receive IP addresses, browser and device information, pages requested, referral information, and security or diagnostic logs when you use the site. Cookies or similar technologies may support site functionality, security, and fraud prevention. Third-party features may process technical information under their own privacy policies.

Please provide only information needed for your request. Do not enter payment-card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, medical records, or other sensitive information in general inquiry fields or ordinary email or SMS. If you provide another traveler’s information, make sure you have permission to do so.

2. How we use information

Respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and communicate about requested transportation.
Arrange and administer reservations, coordinate pickups, and provide customer support.
Share necessary trip details with the transportation providers involved in your request or confirmed service.
Maintain business and consent records, protect the website, prevent misuse, and resolve disputes.
Send optional marketing communications only in accordance with your preferences and applicable consent requirements.
Meet applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. Email and SMS communications

Service email. If you contact us or submit a form, we may email you about that inquiry, quote, reservation, itinerary changes, or customer-support request. An inquiry is not an automatic subscription to promotional messages.

Marketing email. We send promotional email only with the consent required by applicable law. Where we offer promotional email subscriptions, you may opt out using the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by emailing [email protected]. Opting out of marketing email does not prevent necessary, non-promotional communications about an active request or reservation.

SMS and MMS. If you separately opt in to text messages from Ottawa LX Limo, we may send messages within the scope of that consent, such as quote follow-ups, reservation confirmations, pickup coordination, itinerary updates, and customer support. Promotional texts require a separate, optional marketing opt-in. Providing a telephone number, submitting a form, or accepting website terms by itself does not constitute consent to marketing texts. Consent to text messages is not a condition of purchasing transportation.

Message frequency varies with your requests, reservations, and selected subscriptions. Message and data rates may apply. To stop texts, reply STOP to the sending number. You may also contact us to withdraw consent. A final confirmation of your opt-out may be sent; further texts require renewed consent. For assistance, reply HELP or contact [email protected] or (613) 707-0733. If you opt out of SMS, contact us by telephone or email for ongoing trip coordination.

We disclose information as needed to transportation providers fulfilling your request, and to service providers supporting website hosting, communications, reservation administration, security, and other business operations. These disclosures are for providing services on our behalf, not for those providers’ independent marketing. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Mobile privacy: We do not sell or rent your personal information. Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text-message consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Limited disclosure to messaging vendors and other service providers solely to operate the messaging program is permitted; it does not authorize them to market to you independently.

5. Cookies and third-party services

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect website features. Our forms may use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse. Its processing is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Links to third-party websites are governed by those websites’ policies.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including managing requests and reservations, maintaining required records, honoring communication preferences, and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the information and purpose. Limited opt-out records may be retained to prevent unwanted messages.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email, text message, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary inquiry channels.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You can ask us to correct your contact details, update communication preferences, or request access to or deletion of personal information by emailing [email protected]. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights, including rights to obtain a copy of information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy-request decision. We will respond as required by applicable law and may verify your identity. Some records must be retained for legal, security, or transaction-related reasons.

Withdrawal of marketing or SMS consent does not cancel a transportation reservation. Contact us separately if you need to change or cancel a trip.

8. Children and international use

The website is intended for adults arranging transportation and is not directed to children. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization. If you use the site from another country, information may be processed where we or our service providers operate, subject to applicable requirements.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the website, services, or applicable requirements. The effective date above identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek new consent. A policy update does not expand the scope of previously given messaging consent.
